I am one of those people who stares at the stars and contemplates their place in the world.
I wake up in the middle of the night and wonder how I got here.
I may frequent existential thoughts, but if anything is true, I’m happy just the way I AM.
I AM.
The very root of my happiness is my existence.
I AM and that’s a miracle within itself.
I realized that happiness depends on only myself.
Not from a huge paycheck, not a new car, a diamond ring or even the love of my life.
Rather, I CHOOSE happiness.
Our culture promotes always wanting the next big thing. So worked up about what’s yet to come, that we forget to appreciate what’s right in front of us.
These desires are too vast for the heart and the soul to find happiness as we seek it.
A guru once said that in order to find happiness, you must shrink this large circle of desires into a much smaller circle.
Desire what you already have, what you already are and happiness is yours.
BREATHE and you’ll be happy.
Deepen the breath, find your soul and awaken the happiness within you.
Forget about what you don’t have and realize that everything that you are already is
SIT TALL AND BREATHE.
Count your blessings one by one. Write them down. Dance. Sing. Be joyous.
Your life is whatever you want it to be. Everything else is just an excuse.
In the words of Wayne Dwyer, “You are not stuck, unless you decide to be.”
Happy people keep moving. They live their lives to the rhythm of their own drum. They take 5 and a half years to finish college. They leave a stable income to become a yoga instructor. They follow their dreams and wander around the globe.
They don’t listen to the outsiders, they listen to the voice within.
BREATHE.
Recognize your highest self within. Your inner truth, your inner desires, the person you are and should always be. Follow that voice and happiness is the road you choose.
Live without judgement. Live beyond comparison. Realize that were all human.
We are ONE.
I AM HAPPY.
Namaste, Kay.

I leave you with a mantra for happiness: LOKAH SAMASTAH SUKINO BHAVANTU.
Translation: “May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that happiness and to that freedom for all.”
Great post!!
